Betsson no valid license 4s2t4g
Bettson, operated by BML Group Limited and Corona Limited, was active in the Netherlands well before the legalization of online gambling in 2021—without holding a valid license.
Legal expert Deepak Thakoerdien from Dynamiet, the legal services provider representing the gambler, commented:
"They did everything possible to lure people in. But without a license, there’s no oversight—so fair play isn’t guaranteed."
According to Thakoerdien, Bettson and similar online casinos exploited this lack of regulation by employing managers specifically tasked with extracting as much money as possible from players.
"They recognize addiction patterns. They can see when someone logs in, and they fish for information—how much money someone has, when their salary or benefits are paid. Then they strike," he explained.
Online casinos are now subject to a duty of care under Dutch law.
